Building and Protecting Wealth

Wealth, once accumulated, requires a different set of disciplines from those that accumulated it. The disciplines of building are aggressive and additive. The disciplines of protecting are conservative and subtractive. Men who master one and neglect the other typically lose most of what they built within a decade of building it.
